As a human being, we must possess what Shri Krishna has taught us in the holy book Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, the Hindu scripture consisting life changing lessons from the lord himself.
Here are some noteworthy quotes from the Holy Book which said by Shri Krishna and which we all must follow in our respective lives to discern the right way to live our lives.
Lesson 1: IMPORTANCE OF KARMA OR ONE’S DUTY
karmaṇy-evādhikāras te mā phaleṣhu kadāchana
mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo ’stvakarmaṇi
The quote explains: do your duty righteously without worrying about its outcome.
In the epic battle of Kurukshetra, Arjuna almost refused to fight his enemies because of the fear of losing it. It was then Krishna delivered the philosophical quote and taught Arjuna the importance of performing his duty without being driven by the result.
Shri Krishna was successful in convincing Arjuna to fight the battle. The lord further explained the importance of performing duty withut anticipating the end result, he emphasized on enjoying the process of reaching at the destination but not the destination.
Lesson 2: THERE IS ALWAYS A CAUSE OR A REASON OF ALL THAT HAPPENS
Whatever happens, happens for the good. Whatever is happening, is happening for the good. Whatever will happen, will also happen for the good
In Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna taught us that everything happens for a good reason or a good cause. Even if we’re going through a bad phase, it has something to do with the good that’s going to come soon. Therefore, it is best to stop crying over useless and disheartening things, rather have control on the emotion and move on.
Lesson 3: Control your lust, anger and greed
krodhād bhavati sammohaḥ sammohāt smṛiti-vibhramaḥ
smṛiti-bhranśhād buddhi-nāśho buddhi-nāśhāt praṇaśhyati
There are three gates to hell: lust, anger and greed, unreasonable addiction to any of the three things can only bring sorrow and dejection in your life. Shri Krishna explains that decisions taken in anger result in regret and remorse, therefore we all must practice to keep our mind in peace before taking big decisions of life.
Lesson 4: YOU HAVE COME EMPTY HANDED, AND YOU WILL LEAVE EMPTY HANDED
Lord always taught us to stay away from being allured towards materialistic things. We all come empty handed in the world and therefore we must leave empty handed. Attachment towards things and even human being is temporary and you must abandon it.
Lesson 5: CHANGE IS THE LORD OF UNIVERSE

Nothing is permanent nor is anything going to stay with us for lifelong, accepting the fact that change is the law of universe is what the Lord taught us through the Holy book. It applies to each one of us and at every point of time in life.
